Congratulations to JCL member Alex Cunningham, who received his third gold medal on the National Latin Exam. Also winning gold for Latin I was Taylor Witt. Paul Robertson won a silver medal in Latin II, and Bryce Clark ended his Latin career at RHS with a silver medal for Latin III.
At the Tennessee Foreign Language Teachers Association meeting at Cool Springs in November, Mr. Nabors was awarded the 2009 Tennessee Classical Association Distinguished Latin Teaching Award. This is a great honor that recognizes the accomplishments of all of the wonderful students Mr. Nabors has had over the years at Houston High, Cordova High, Riverdale High, the University of Memphis, and Middle Tennessee State University.
